Summary

Picking up where the ever-popular Expectations: Best Kept Secrets Every New Mother Should Know left off, Newborn Expectations is the gift to give after the baby is born. This wonderfully illustrated journal turns the tables and offers important insights from the baby's point of view, from "Expect every day to be a party and for you to be the honored guest," right up to "Expect to wear your first birthday cake." Newborn Expectations is a perfect size to tuck into a mom's backpack, purse, attach,, or diaper bag whether she's on a plane or at the playground. It is designed to inspire a busy mom to pick up a pen and jot down notes about her baby's first smile and first outings, as well as record her baby's growth chart and family tree. The early days of infancy, while at times seemingly endless, are fleeting at best. The author, Terry Lee Bilsky, is grateful for all the moments she stole to take notes. There is no way she could reproduce now what she wrote "in the moment." And yet, every time she looks at her baby journal, "it brings me right back!" she says.
