Timothy Penland, the author is a husband, father, and grandfather. He is a freelance writer and author. He has a background in education, construction, and church ministry. He has written educational curriculum, corporate literature, and magazine articles on a wide variety of topics. His children's books include, The True Night before Christmas, and the "Night Before Series" books along with several other titles. He and his wife Joy live in beautiful, rural Western North Carolina. They enjoy traveling and experiencing the great outdoors.
