Author Biography

Margaret Wise Brown (1910–52) is the creator of the children's classic Goodnight Moon. A prolific author of stories for young readers and listeners, she transformed the traditional approach to picture-book narratives with her unique ability to see the world through a child's eyes.
Writer and artist Leonard Weisgard (1916–2000) collaborated with Margaret Wise Brown on other books, including the winner of the 1947 Caldecott Medal, Little Lost Lamb.
