Author Biography

Michael Rhodes is a consultant surgeon residing in Norwich, United Kingdom. He is the author of 14 railroad books in the U.K., including The Illustrated History of British Marshalling Yards. He has traveled to North America more than 30 times since 1989 to research and record the American railyard. In doing so he compiled this unique reference to the continent's classification yards.
