Author Biography

Jorg Brockmann's photographs appear in American and European newspapers and magazines and have been exhibited in group and solo shows in the United States, Switzerland, Italy, and France. After studying photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology he came to New York City, where he lived for seven years. He recently moved back to Europe to work on several book projects Bill Harris lived in the New York area for more than 50 years, before recently moving to Dallas. He worked at The New York Times for 25 of those years and became a licensed New York City tour guide in 1976. He has written 17 books about New York, including a history of the Plaza Hotel and two histories of the city itself, which were produced for the New York Landmarks Conservancy. He vows to move back to New York soon
