Author Biography

Formally a teacher, Karyn has worked in the Head Start program and the Peace Corps. A few years later she briefly became a student again, to study library science. She loves writing stories that intertwine the humor. Otter Oughta Know is her debut picture book! Karyn lives in Southwest Florida, where she and her husband live with an assortment of tailed companions.

Born and raised in northern Ohio, MICHAEL ROBERTSON graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in painting. He spent ten years as a toy designer and character developer, before trying his hand at illustration. His work has appeared on many children’s products, greeting cards, books, toys, and magazines, and has received multiple recognitions from the Society of Illustrators.
