Author Biography

Cuban-born Fernando Saralegui has spent over 25 years in the restaurant business at such well known establishments as Olive in Los Angeles, and Raoul's in Soho. He was owner and designer of Flatiron favorite ALVA and L-Ray which brought "Gulf-Rim" cuisine, a blend of Cuban, Louisianan, Texan, and Mexican fare, to New York's West Village. He is currently a restaurant consultant, and lives in Austin, Texas.
