Author Biography


José M. Peiró is Emeritus Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Valencia, Senior Researcher at the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (IVIE), and member of the Spanish Academy of Psychology. He has been named Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Coimbra, Federico Villarreal National University, Maastricht University, Miguel Hernandez University, and Methodist University of São Paulo. He has published over 300 articles and book chapters on topics such as work stress, climate and culture, teams, competencies, health, and well-being. He was formerly President of the International Association of Applied Psychology and of the European Association of Applied Psychology, as well as Associate Editor of the European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology.
