Author Biography

John Frow is Professor of English at the University of Sydney. He was formerly Professor of English Language and Literature at the University of Melbourne (2004-2012), the Regius Professor of Rhetoric and English Literature at Edinburgh University (2000-2004), and Darnell Professor of English at the
University of Queensland (1990-1999). He works at the boundary between literary studies and cultural studies and has published ten monographs and edited collections, including On Interpretive Conflict (2019) and Character and Person (2019). He is a member of numerous editorial boards, including New
Literary History, Law, Culture and the Humanities, symploke, and Textual Practice.
