Summary

Paris, synoymous with romance, the mere mention of her name entrances. But beyond the gleaming monuments, the secret of Paris' allure lies in the tiny details: sparkling lights around the Elysees, platters of seafood borne aloft by suited waiters, elegant mannequins sporting the New Look, absinthe-fuelled nights of gay abandon. Scratch beneath the surface and you will also find a modern, vibrant city with much more to offer than the familiar touristic experience. For those who have already made made the city's acquaintance, Paris Revisited makes essential reading. Unlike traditional city guides, it offers an enticing and unusual insider's view of life in Paris and an elegant photographic exploration of her many delights.
