Wolfgang Pauli's stature among twentieth-century physicists was unique, but his views far exceeded that of traditional science. Not only did he confront the moral dilemma posed by the atomic bomb, he also saw it as symptomatic of a broader concern: that of the need to focus beyond the rational realm. Science's exclusively rationalistic perspective had fostered a perilous "will to power" that puts all life at risk. Author Biography

David Lindorff, Ph.D., is both an engineer and a Jungian analyst. As a young man, he studied at MIT. During World War II, he joined the staff of the MIT Radiation Laboratory to work on airborne radar. For the next twenty-five years, Lindorff taught electrical engineering at the University of Connecticut After becoming Professor Emeritus, Lindorff enrolled at the C. G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland. He has worked as a Jungian analyst in private practice since 1982
