Author Biography

Robert J. Banks's widely read Paul's Idea of Community: The Early House Churches in Their Cultural Setting is written for laypeople, pastors, and scholars alike. It provides a fresh look at what the early house churches were really like and in particular at their focus on community. Robert J. Banks has held positions at Fuller Theological Seminary, the De Pree Leadership Center, and the Macquarie Christian Studies Institute, Australia. He is now Adjunct Professor in Ancient History at Macquarie University, Australia. His other books include Redeeming ($$$)
