Summary

The U.S.-Mexico border crossing has become an area of study in its own right. However, very few current books focus on language and linguistic factors. Perspectives on Teaching English at the U.S.-Mexico Border adds knowledge, understanding, and insight not only to the field of TESOL, but to other fields as well. Author Biography

Alfredo Urzúa holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics (Northern Arizona University) and an MA in TESOL (UCLA). He has worked as a second language teacher educator, researcher, and language program coordinator in Mexico and the United States. He is currently Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics at San Diego State University.
