Author Biography

Braam van Wyk is a professor of Botany at the University of Pretoria. He is an authority on the classification of southern African trees and has a special interest in plant geography. The late Piet van Wyk was a biologist who worked for three decades as a researcher in the Kruger National Park. He authored several popular books on southern African trees. Ben-Erik van Wyk is a professor of Botany at the Johannesburg University. He is an authority on systematic botany and indigenous plant use.
