Summary

llustrated collection of short works by a single author: I The Pilgrimage, which is a novella, and Dark Spaces, a spiritual short story trilogy. The Pilgrimage is a timeless dramatic portrayal of an American family coping with a common tragedy collectively and individually. It illustrates the monumental struggle to regain value and direction in life following the unspeakable. On the other hand, Dark Spaces takes the reader on a spiritual journey through the lives of three couples separated in time and space. Without using religious jargon or established symbolism, readers are introduced to the foundations of Christian theology through fictional narrative in the genre so perfected by C. S. Lewis. In a world of varying degrees of light and darkness, endearing characters make choices with eternal consequence.

Author Biography

Randy Doyle Hazlett is both author and scientist. Dr. Hazlett has authored over 25 refereed articles in various professional journals, secured a dozen patents, and presented papers in scientific circles around the globe. When challenged to a life of significance by mentor Zig Ziglar, Dr. Hazlett embarked upon a series of projects to make a difference in the lives of others. While still very much involved in leading edge research, Dr. Hazlett has turned his time and talent to musical composition and legacy literary projects, such as The Pilgrimage and Dark Spaces. The author pours much energy into the next generation, especially when it comes to equipping them for the spiritual battles of life. The author truly believes a foundation of faith is the only anchor in life. Dr. Hazlett resides in Dallas, Texas and is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas. His wife, COL Rose A. Hazlett, is currently attached to the 94th Combat Support Hospital of Seagoville, Texas. Dr. Hazlett is also coauthor of the much anticipated third quarter release, Negotiate Like a Phoenician, published by KeyNegotiations.
