Author Biography

Dr. David G. Stork is Chief Scientist of Ricoh Innovations and a Visiting Lecturer at Stanford University. He holds 34 patents and has published more than 100 technical papers on subjects including human and machine learning, pattern perception, physiological optics, and image understanding in art. Dr. Stork has authored and co-authored numerous books, including Seeing the Light: Optics in Nature, Photography, Color, Vision, and Holography and the second edition of Pattern Classification, the all-time best seller in the field.
