A limp most assuredly comes with the call of God on our lives. Brokenness, persecutions and rejection are all part of preparation to serve God and to walk close with him we must share in the fellowship of his suffering. We must know God if we are to serve him. And to know him we must also partake in his suffering. If we are to reign with him then we must also suffer with him. He was wounded for our transgressions, and was bruised for our iniquity. He was the chastisement of our peace. He was despised and rejected by all men for our sake, and we must have our part in this if we expect to move in the miraculous as he did. All this will cause our self-centeredness will to fade. Our identity must go in order for us to be identified with Christ. This necessary work wrought by the Master Himself. Often we plead with God to take us to a new place; a place where we imagine we will find complete wholeness and a sense of satisfaction that can only be experienced, indescribable by words. We fancy a destination we cannot explain even with our most eloquent language. We begin our journey following road signs along a path that will lead us in the course of our journey through a suffering place.
