Author Biography

Tom King holds a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of California, Riverside, and has worked as a university archeologist and private contractor in California, as an archaeologist with the U.S. National Park Service, as consultant in archaeology and historic preservation to the High Commissioner of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, and as an executive with the U.S. Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. He left government in 1989 and now consults in cultural resource management (CRM), historic preservation, and environmental dispute resolution. He teaches short courses in CRM and historic preservation for the National Preservation Institute and writes extensively on CRM topics
