Summary

The imperitives and character of industry are quite different from those of graduate school or college. Planning a Scientific Career in Industry lays out the landscape of the technology industry that potential knowledge workers will encounter, identifies key landmarks and milestones in this landscape, and suggests an array of tools useful in preparing for a career in the industry. The coverage also helps the new graduate assess various companies and identify those whose culture would best enable a thriving career.
