Summary

An increasing number of industries-engineering, finance, construction, software development, etc.-have refocused their attention on the fundamentals of project management, demanding more from their managers than ever before. Mistaken by many as soft skill, the field of project management actually approaches a science in the degree to which it adheres to tried-and-true principles that can be applied in all industries. In addition to understanding basic project managment theory, individuals must possess solid charting and diagramming skills in order to succeed as a project manager (not to mention succeeding on the PMP exam). This workbook presents scenarios and exercises that allow individuals to hone these hands-on skills and prepare themselves for the rigors of project management. Individuals who are preparing for the PMP exam or simply considering a career in project management.
