Author Biography

Judith Paine McBrien, the author of the best-selling Pocket Guides to Chicago and to Los Angeles architecture, directs the Archimedia Workshop, which produces media about architecture, history, and urban design. John F. DeSalvo, R1R, illustrator of the Pocket Guides, is a registered architect with his own design firm in Chicago and an adjunct professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
