Summary

This book enables the reader to gain insight to the fundamentals, basic principles, properties and applications of electrical polymers. It provides the principles in a more extended and understandable way as well as including examples of highly advanced state of the art scientific issues. This book focuses on the electrical properties of polymers that when compounded properly can do much in electrical and electronics applications, beyond acting as insulators. This book addresses emerging technologies such as light emitting diodes, soft electronics, and conductive fibers used for smart clothing or electromagnetic shields.

Author Biography

Jiri George Drobny is the President of Drobny Polymer Associates as well as a consulting chemical engineer, technical translator, and educator. He is the author of four books on high performance polymers and has four issued U.S. patents in the fields of fluoropolymers and the radiation processing of elastomers.
