Sophia Fergus (Author) : Founded in 1891, Dogs Trust, formerly known as the National Canine Defence League, has always campaigned on dog-welfare related issues to ensure a safe and happy future for our four-legged friends. As well as the 17 rehoming centres in Britain and Northern Ireland (helping more than 16,000 dogs a year), DogsTrust campaigns, educates and runs outreach and international projects.
