Summary

This 2008 copyrighted story relates the infrastructure of The Commission, with its five crime families and the soldiers (the Guard) that serve The Commission's members. The Guard, headed by the man known as Savior, whose real name is Daniel Salvino, consists of military-trained veterans. Whenever one of the bosses wants a meeting with another boss, the Guard arranges the pick-up, meeting, security, and safe return of all parties. Any boss who violates the rules for the meeting is executed immediately by the Guard. The sanctity of these meetings is never questioned. The Guard is finally dispatched to terminate a boss who has agreed to cooperate with the FBI to save his son from a murder charge in a North Carolina city. In killing this man, they are required to surgically attack a safe house in North Carolina, murdering four FBI agents in the process, as well as the informant boss.
