Author Biography

Dirk ter Haar (1919–2002) was a Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford, and a Reader in Theoretical Physics at the University of Oxford. His other books include The Old Quantum Theory and Master of Modern Physics: The Scientific Contributions of H. A. Kramers.
