    Author Biography

    Marius Kintel is the primary author and maintainer of OpenSCAD. He is a software engineer with more than 20 years of professional experience in a wide range of fields. At the beginning of the 3D printing movement, he envisioned the need for an open-source design tool that emphasized cleaner design cycles and that adopted iterative design changes in a way better suited to how software engineers work.

    Justin Gohde has been teaching for more than 20 years and serves as Department Head of Computer Science at Trinity School in New York City, where he established an interdisciplinary, project-based CS program and oversees the 3D Design Lab. Gohde has presented on OpenSCAD at several conferences, including CSTA, STEMTeachersNYC, Columbia University Makerspace, NYU Creative Coding Fest, and WECode Harvard. He's also an artist, which gives him a unique perspective on teaching students CS in an interdisciplinary manner.
