Summary

A Feminine Rendition of a Beloved Classic, a century after its original publication.

Enter the enchanting realm of "The Prophet" as Kahlil Gibran's immortal words take on a vibrant new resonance, through the captivating voice of a female lead. This edition breathes new life into the cherished spiritual teachings of love, wisdom, and self-discovery.

Immerse yourself in the words, and be inspired by the book's profound beauty and transformative guidance.

The story itself looks in on the fictional town of Orphalese, where the prophet, Aasiya, has been living for 12 years. As she prepares to board a ship back to her homeland, the townsfolk ask her a series questions, covering 26 topics such as love, marriage, children, crime & punishment, time, pleasure, forgiveness, and death.

Read also, in the book's introduction, about WHY this book was written, when a 6-year-old girl (co-editor of this edition) loved listening to the wisdom of a wise man called Almustafa, then one evening insisted to her father that he repeat the teachings, but "This time, Daddy, pretend that The Prophet is a woman. Now, tell me again what SHE said ..."

Women and men, young and old. This book is for a more diverse society – with a focus on equitability.
