Summary

Author Biography

Dr. Petersen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreeboro, Tennessee. She completed her Ph.D. at Vanderbilt University in 2004. Stephen R.Saunders is a Ph.D student at Vanderbilt University and Interim Director of the McNair Program at Middle Tennessee State University. After earning an M.A. from the Ohio State University and before turning to the study of international politics, he spent his early career in New York City and Tokyo as editor and publisher.
