Author Biography

Cindy Sabulis is involved in many aspects of doll collecting. She and her husband Steve are owners of Toys of Another Time, a business specializing in dolls from the 1950s through the 1970s. Together they sell at doll shows and from their website at www.dollsntoys.com. Cindy has written dozens of articles about collecting for doll and collectible publications. She is the co-author of The Collector's Guide to Tammy, the Ideal Teen and the author of the first volume of Dolls of the 1960s and 1970s. She is an advisor/contributor for Schroeder's Collectible Toys, Garage Sale and Flea Market Annual, and Flea Market Trader providing information and values on Tammy, Liddle Kiddles, Tressy, Littlechaps, and many other dolls and their accessories. During her college years, Cindy worked for numerous regional and national publications as a freelance writer and editor. After she earned her BS in computer science she went to work full time in the computer field, but continued to write in her spare time. In 1990 she started up her business selling dolls part time out of her home. A year later she left the corporate world to devote more time to writing and expanding her business. Her husband joined her full time in the business several years later. Steve and Cindy have a 12 year old son, David.
