Author Biography

David Plante has published more than a dozen novels, including The Family, The Woods, and The Country (Beacon / 8379-6 / $13.00 pb), as well as the nonfiction books Difficult Women and American Ghosts (Beacon / 7265-3 / $15.00 pb). His work has appeared in many periodicals, including the New Yorker and Paris Review, and has been nominated for a National Book Award. Plante teaches at Columbia University and lives in New York and London.
