Author Biography

Abby Klein has been a first-grade and kindergarten teacher for more than fifteen years. With a master's degree from Harvard, she now teaches at the same public elementary school she attended as a child. At the end of each school day, Mrs. Klein reads aloud to her young students. The Ready, Freddy! series grew out of her experiences as a teacher and as a parent. She and her husband have two children, a third grader and a first grader. They live with their three dogs in Los Angeles, California John Mckinley has been drawing all his life. For the Ready, Freddy! books, he hid the word "fin" in the pictures. He has a wife and two children and lives in Northern California
