Jose F. Aranda, Jr. is a professor of English at Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he lives with his wife and children Silvio Torres-Saillant, Associate Professor of English and Director of the Latino-Latin American Studies Program at Syracuse University, is the founder and former director of the CUNY Dominican Studies Institute at the City College of New York
