Summary

The Red Rover story began with the Cain brothers in pre-war London. They moved base to Aylesbury following the nationalisation of the company's express coach and local services. The company was then taken over by Keith Garages in 1955, becoming a sister company to Keith Coaches. The story more or less ended in 1987, following de-regulation of bus and coach services. As proprietor Stuart Mills put it, 'We either had to take over Luton District or let them take us over. I have no regrets about selling up.'
