Author Biography

KATE WILLIAMS manages the Upgrade Study Advice Service at Oxford Brookes University, UK. She has worked with students from Foundation to PhD level and has written a range of books and materials on study skills. She is the Pocket Study Skills series editor. MARY WOOLLIAMS became a lecturer in Health and Social Care at Oxford Brookes University in 2003 and obtained an MSc in Higher Professional Education in 2008. In recent years she has been involved in putting together a number variety of guides and publications for students on developing their academic skills, including referencing, critical thinking and reflective writing.JANE SPIRO has run programmes in academic writing for international students worldwide, developed a fully online student resource for reflective writing, researched student response to reflection, and convened a national forum looking at reflection in practice across subject disciplines.
