Author Biography

F. Scott Fitzgerald was an American novelist, playwright, and essayist from the Jazz Golden Era. His prominent books include The Great Gatsby, This Side of Paradise, The Night Is Soft, and The Crack-Up. Edgar Allan Poe was an American writer, poet, critic, and journalist. He renewed the Gothic novel and is especially remembered for his horror stories. He has been considered the inventor of the detective story, and contributed several works to the emerging genre of science fiction. Howard Phillips "H.P." Lovecraft was an American writer famous for his work in the horror genre whose short stories were published in pulp magazines during his lifetime. Lovecraft is recognized for having created the genre of cosmic horror, also known as Lovecraftian horror, which combines elements of horror along with science fiction.
