Author Biography

Kevin J. Wetmore, Jr. is Associate Professor of Theatre, Loyola Marymount University.  He is the author of Athenian Sun in an African Sky, Black Dionysus: Greek Tragedy and African-American Theatre, The Empire Triumphant: Race, Religion, and Rebellion in the Star Wars Films, and the co-author of Shakespeare and Youth Culture.  He is the co-editor of Modern Japanese Theatre and Performance and was the Founding Artistic Director of the Unseam’d Shakespeare Company.
