Author Biography

Nancy J. Hirschmann is associate professor of political science at Cornell University. She is author of Rethinking Obligation: A Feminist Method for Political Theory as well as papers on feminist theory, political concepts, and women in the history of the Western canon. Christine Di Stefano is associate professor of political science at the University of Washington. She is author of Configurations of Masculinity: A Feminist Perspective on Modern Political Theory and papers on autonomy, feminist postmodernism, and gender is Western political thought. Nancy J.
