Summary

Blu and Jewel, the last known surviving Blue Spix Macaws, are having a great time raising their children in the safety of the Blu Bird Sanctuary, but there may be trouble in paradise! When Blu overhears Tulio and Linda talking about their money troubles, Blu takes it upon himself to save the sanctuary and his friends' livelihood — if only he could think of a way. When bulldog Luiz tells Blu about a legendary elixir hidden somewhere in the jungle, Blu thinks that could be the answer. That is, of course, if cockatoo Nigel doesn't get there first, and if they can make it past the villainous snaky Ssssssalbatore in one piece!

Author Biography

STEFAN PETRUCHA is the author of such YA series as Timetripper, Split, and The Rule of Won, as well as THE THREE STOOGES, POWER RANGERS, PAPERCUTZ SLICES, and many other series from Papercutz. He has written X-Files comics for Topps, Disney comics for Egmont, and he was nominated for a Stoker Award for his graphic novel, Kolchak: The Devil in the Details.

 

JAMES SILVANI is a Maui-based comic book artist and commercial illustrator. He grew up in the artist's colony of Laguna Beach and received an art degree from San Francisco State University. He has been working as a freelance artist since 1994 and is currently providing art for monthly comics titles such as Disney/Kaboom's Darkwing Duck and Ape Entertainment's Richie Rich.
