Summary

Run Away to Nowhere is the story of Nareen and Karwan, who have fallen in love with each other in a very strict society. As students at the local university, their story crosses the path of the first Gulf War. Events transpire and Nareen is separated from her family; she finds herself wandering the snowy mountains of Kurdistan, accompanied by her six-year-old brother. When she finally arrives at the refugee camp, she meets and befriends a female American journalist who will do her best to get her information about her lover, also lost in the ordeal of the massive evacuation of Kurds from their town in northern Iraq.
