Summary

The book describes activities and the underlying reasons for each one that direct what I do to arrest the aging process. Seven general areas are offered with a caveat for the reader to generate his/her own activities. The general areas include (1) overcome the biases about age embedded in our culture, (2) add meditation or quiet time to your daily schedule, (3) exercise the mind and body (4) eat mindfully, (5) choose an art form and find time to do it, (6) explore the relationship between self and other, and (7) find humor in what you do. The general meme throughout the book is to approach your life as a continuous learner, learn to pay attention to one thing at a time, and be open to new experiences from which to learn. We live in a fast changing environment. New discoveries that can improve the quality of our lives are increasing. How we respond to them is a matter of individual choice. It is hoped that the content of this book will stimulate readers to think differently about aging while adding a dimension of quality to their lives.
