Author Biography

Mike Badham (Bath, Maine) is a former Royal Navy submarine commander and Caribbean charterboat owner/skipper. In 1960, with his wife and children, he set sail for Australia but, like Columbus, fetched up on America, where he has dallied ever since. Robby Robinson (Marshfield, Massachusetts) has been on the water for 50 years. He has sailed with and raced against many of the experts in this book. A former SAIL magazine editor and America's Cup challenger, he is a sailing instructor and teacher at Tabor Academy, and the author, with Arne Brun Lie, of Night and Fog.
