Author Biography

Gerry Hassan was born in Dundee. He is a writer, commentator, political analyst, and a regular contributor to The Scotsman, Newsnight Scotland, Good Morning Scotland, and Open Democracy. He works as a lecturer in cultural policy at the University of the West of Scotland.

Russell Gunson is the Director of IPPR (Institute for Public Policy Research) Scotland. Before assuming this position in 2015, he worked across government, parliament and the voluntary and private sectors. His previous position was as director of the National Union of Students Scotland where he worked on a cross-party basis within Scottish politics.
