Summary

Reading about this team of misfit monsters is a scream! Basketball season has begun for the Scream Team, but Dennis the Vampire can't seem to get any playing time. That may not be a problem for much longer, because if the Scream Team can't find a sponsor, they're going to be kicked out of the league. Author Biography

Bill Doyle is the author of several books for young readers, including the Behind Enemy Lines series, the Crime Through Time series, and the Henry and Keats books. He’s also written for Sesame Workshop, Time For Kids, Sports Illustrated Kids, and Rolling Stone. Bill lives in New York City with two misfit dachshunds. From Scream Team: The Vampire at Half Court

Dr. Neuron held up his hand for silence. He thought for a second, squinting at the Scream Team. "Hmmm..." he said in a loud fake voice. "If only there were a way to solve the problems with the Scream Team once and for all. Let me think..."

Dr. Neuron took a pen and the thick league rulebook from his pocket. He flipped the book open and scribbled on a random page.

"Why! What's this?" he said as if he had just discovered something new in the book. "Attention, please!" he said, and waited for the remaining crowd in the stadium to quiet down. Then he read out loud, "'Forthwith hitherto all teams that wish to play in the Junior Club Monster League shall require a sponsor. If such sponsor cannot be found said team will be forced to leave the JCML.'"
