Summary

This volume presents the contributions to the third symposium on the "Search for the Causes of Schizophrenia". It opens up new perspectives for schizophrenia research: Part I focuses on the precursors, onset and early course of schizophrenia, while part II deals with the complex relationship between brain functions assessed by brain imaging and neuropathology and specific psychopathology of schizophrenia at the level of morphological, functional and regional brain abnormalities.
