Is There a Registration Fee?
Yes, you must pay a registration fee to take the TExES Generalist 4–8 (111) exam. If you are using the registration form, all fees must be paid in full by personal check, cashier’s check, or money order payable to ETS. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars. Cash will not be accepted. If you are registering via the Internet or phone during the emergency registration period, payment must be made by VISA or MasterCard.
Scoring the Exam
The passing score for the TExES Generalist 4–8 (111) exam is generally determined after the first administration of the test. At this writing, it has not been set yet; however, be aware that the cut score is generally set between 70% and 80%. There are 120 scorable multiple-choice questions on each of the practice tests. You must get 84 of those questions correct to score a 70% and 96 questions to score an 80%.
