Gunnar's Learning Curves

GUNNAR graduated from Annapolis, became a Naval Aviator, writes about the military and much more. He grew up with Swedish immigrant parents in Chicago Heights who sent him with a nurse aboard a Swedish oceanliner to Sweden to attend school. Luckily, he was able to return when WWII began. GUNNAR offers unusual insights into Interstate highway projects, the Oct. 1987 Stock Market Crash; his struggles with Congress and a foot-dragging Patent Office. He declares several times that "If the United States Navy were managed by patent attorneys, our warships would still have sails!" What is more, he blames Congress today for not funding a speed-up of Patent & Trademark Office operations when it is sorely needed and could be done now more easily than ever.
