Author Biography

Jim L. Bowyer is Director, Responsible Materials Program, Dovetail Partners, Inc and Professor Emeritus, University of Minnesota, Department of Bioproducts and Bioprocess Engineering. Bowyer is a Fellow of the International Academy of Wood Science, Chairman of the Tropical Forest Foundation, and Past President of both the Forest Products Society and Society of Wood Science and Technology.


Rubin Shmulsky is an Associate Professor in the Forest Products Department at Mississippi State University, a consulting wood technologist, and a former Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota.


John G. Haygreen is a retired Professor of Forest Products, who served on the faculties of Colorado State University, the University of Minnesota, and Auburn University. He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Wood Science, and Past President of both the Forest Products Society and Society of Wood Science and Technology.
