Sun-Painted Man, a historical novel, is based on actual diaries, Court papers and Photographs that originally belonged to the author's great-uncle, Chritian F. Schuster, who lived with the Blackfeet, Spoke their language and know their Culture intemately. It is inspired by the true story of Red-Boy, also called Peter Stabs-By-Mistake, and by his great-uncle's crusade for justice.

Author Biography

Philip Schuster practices law in Portland, oregon with the firm of Dierking & Schuster. He has published an earlie novel, The indian Water Slide, and has been a contributing author to publicatons in the area of environmental law and family law. Philip enjoys river drifting and outdoor activities with his family. He lives in Milwaukie, Oregon with his wife, Barbara, and they have two sons, Chris and Matt.
