Summary

Mori Taheripour, an expert in negotiation, shows that a successful negotiation does not depend only on rhetoric, information, and body language, but, fundamentally, on self-knowledge, empathy and emotional intelligence. By being aware of our limitations, emotions, and values, and of the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves and others, we will be able to face any challenge (at work and outside of it) with authenticity and integrity. Aware that the art of negotiation is not limited to money and business, Taheripour proposes a cooperative model that appeals to the common interest, the perception of collective needs and construction of better ties and stronger communities.
