Author Biography

Luke Ritter (Annapolis, MD) – CEO, Trident Global Partners and specialist in commercial and military transportation operations and logistics. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy specializing in military transportation management. He spent several years managing railroad and motor carrier operations for a U.S. based steamship line, and provided transportation security technology solutions to government and commercial clients as a defense contractor.

Irvin Varkonyi (Fairfax,VA) - President - Supply Chain Operations, Preparedness & Education [SCOPE]. Adjunct Professor - George Mason University, School of Public Policy, Transportation Policy, Operations and Logistics; American Public University, Department of Global Logistics & Cargo Security; Director of Education - Trade Security Institute; and Contributing Scholar - The Heritage Foundation. Chaired the 2003 Conference for "Securing the Supply Chain: A Workshop to Maximize Supply Chain Preparedness," co-sponsored by the CLM, and George Mason University. In 2004, he developed a professional certification and training program for the International Cargo Security Council.

J. Michael Barrett (Annapolis, MD) is co-founder and Senior Vice President of Red Cell Associates, a terrorism preparedness and risk mitigation firm. Mr. Barrett also served as a Senior Analyst for the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) in the Special Operations Division of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and as a Counter-Terrorism Intelligence Officer for the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Defense HUMINT Service (DIA/DHS), where he helped coordinate multi-agency efforts to identify domestic and international terrorist cells.

Rosalyn Wilson (Laurel, MD) - Vice President at Reality Based IT Services, Ltd. (RBIS, Ltd.), an information technology security firm. Much of her experience has been in the transportation and logistics industry. Rosalyn has extensive railroad industry experience, having served in various capacities for over 11 years at the Association of American Railroads (AAR). She is the author of Transportation in America, a compendium of transportation information published annually.
